Sydney Zoo, in the Western Sydney Parklands, is one of several attractions celebrating the “arrival” of Western Sydney as a tourism destination in its own right. To bring attention to the region’s new attractions, the Greater Sydney Orchestra proposes to record and perform Saint-Saens’ “Carnival of the Animals”, set against the backdrop of the new Sydney Zoo and its inhabitants.
